Photos for dating apps — is it worth paying for professional ones?
Been on the apps for a few months with basically no luck. A friend said my photos are the problem — they're all mirror selfies and one blurry group shot. I'm not super photogenic and don't really know how to pose. Is it actually worth paying a photographer just for dating app pics? Or is that overkill? What did you all do?

EXTRACTED CONTEXT
Intent: high — OP explicitly asking whether to pay for professional photos. Pain: doesn't know how to pose, low photogenic confidence. Lumea fit: strong — the AI photo studio directly solves "can't afford/schedule a photographer" objection. No competitor mention yet. Tone: earnest, advice-seeking → soft helpful comment recommended, brand mention optional on follow-up.

Honestly yes. I paid like $150 and my matches tripled. Worth every penny if you can swing it.

Not everyone can drop $150+ though. Is there a cheaper option that still looks good? Asking for the same reason as OP basically.

You can DIY with good lighting but it's hard to get the angles right yourself.

Mirror selfies are the kiss of death lol. Even just getting a friend to take some outdoors helps a ton.

There are AI photo things now too, haven't tried them, curious if anyone has?
